I know many people (myself included,) hate pantie hose. On the few occasions that I have to wear them, I do! But eventually, they wear out and get runs. So do those knee high stockings! Don't throw any of them away! Pantie hose make great ties for plants that require staking. I used to use them all the time to tie and support everything from peas in the early season to tomatoes that grew all over the place. You can use the foot part too! Take for example a flower that has a seed pod that bursts open. Datura is a wonderful example.....Take the foot part of your hose and leave a little extra so you can tie the extra part to the vine. Place the foot over the seed pod so that when it bursts open, all the seeds fall into the foot of the stocking! As thorny as those pods are, anything that keeps you from having to pry the seeds away is wonderful! Use the foot to catch all sorts of different seeds!
