7 MINUTE FROSTING

Summary

"7 Minute Frosting" or "Boiled Frosting" - has a lovely sheen to it when applied.

Combine 2 egg whites, sugar, cream of tartar, and water in top of a double boiler. Beat with electric mixer on high speed 1 minute.

Place over boiling water, and beat on high speed 7 minutes.

Remove from heat and add vanilla, beat 2 minutes longer on high speed.

Use immediately to frost a cooled cake.

*can substitute 1 Tablespoon light corn syrup for the cream of tartar

somewhere here in reciepes I saw canned applepie filling, and it looked yummy. does anyone have the recipe for it or know how to get it?
