Using Trees, Posts, & Fences for Trellises: Trellis of Plastic Wire attached to a metal post. Plastic posts would work just as well.First I'll write about using posts around your gardens for trellises. I've been at a loss to find a place to grow the many new vines I've received. I have Convolvus, Morning Glory 'Pearly Gates', and 5 kinds of JMG. I simply don't have enough chain link fence to put them all, and besides, I really want to keep the colors separate this year. So I've decided to use the various posts that are near my other gardens. This post is a metal post, and if you happen to have white plastic posts, this would work for them too. You may have to use a little elbow grease and bleach to clean them after the vines come down, but in my opinion, the beauty would be worth it.
Great Idea!
Thanks for the Idea! I was wondering where i could have my MG's grow on...All i have is a wooden fence,i dont think that would work out too well! Thanks again!
