Birdhouse Gourd Seed that's different to the ones I planted. They were a rounded tear-drop shape. Anyone ever seen seeds like these?

Thanks Ron....

I do plan to plant some of these seeds. I got these out of one of my Birdhouse Gourds from last year, and I got the typical rounded teardrop shape out of another one from last year. Strange!! I'll be sure to post what the fruit looks like! Thanks for zooming in on it. Much better!!

That one looks familiar. I

That one looks familiar. I grew so many gourds over the years that that shape stands out. Cannot think which strain, or cultivar, that one comes from! Could be a hybrid cross with a squash! ...and yes, they can cross pollenate, but there is no way to know for certain what the fruit would look like! I say, wait 'til next year and plant it, then you can get back to us on what the fruit look like!! (Remember to post photos):) Hope you don't mind my altering your photo Maw! I did a zoom in while I was at it!
