Shade plants

Hi all...My back yard is almost nothing but shade...a mature magnolia, pine trees, oak.  I have a lot of native wild hydrenga that does incredibly well all over the back yard, it really does like the shade.  It spreads like mad so needs to be kept back or it will take over everywhere.  Love the pine flowers it gives off and its gets to be in some places 5 feet tall.  The cold takes it back, but it pops right back up again once the weather gets warmer.

I also have a lot of pine cone ginger along the fence line which is nothing but shade and it loves it as well.  getting ready to do a raised bed around the magnola and fill it with native ferns.  I've been collecting them from the wild for a while now and putting in pots and they have done well.

Looking for some good ground cover for the back yard, something I can start from seed if possible.

When gardeners garden, it is not just plants that grow,
but the gardeners themselves.
