You can press your flowers ,and make cards with them ,there are many ways to do this ,after you press the flowers for at least 10 days they are ready ,use flowers and leaves ,you can also use rubber stamps with the flowers the ideas are endless ,

arrange the flowers on the card the way you want it then cut a pieceof laminate paper and cover it and run thru the laminator , or you can use contact paper cut it to size then peal the back off and move the sticky side under a flame from a candle and lay it on top of the caard and rub . I did this with my seniors and they loved it and they turned out beautiful .

Maybe you could try this. You can use any candle as long as it is already set and cooled. Candles may be decorated with pressed flowers too. Purchase a pillar candle. Melt paraffin in a double boiler. If the wax is smoking, it's too hot. Apply a small amount of white glue to pressed flowers, and glue them to the candle. Use a paintbrush to apply a wax coating to the flowers and the side of the candle. TTFN, coco

No paraffin, please! Coco, I

No paraffin, please! Coco, I make candles......I was trying to think of a way to use flowers in or on my own candles....The ones I make are made out of soy. (I think you may have had one or two.) The soy wax melts at a much lower temperature than paraffin does, and it sets up pretty quickly. If I were to try to use hot glue on a soy candle, I'd probably melt a dent into the candle, and particularly with votives, I don't think using hot glue on something that's going to be ignited would be safe....I have a feeling that the only way to do it would be to put petals in the actual melted wax.

I make soy candles, and I

I make soy candles, and I think it might be nice to put flower petals in the candles.......I haven't done that, but it would be neat....I could only do it with container candles because the wax on the votives sets up too fast for me to be able to put the flowers in.

candles and petals

Susan try to place the flower or petals on the out side using a paint brush and melted wax as the glue that might work

Not sure that would work.

I don't think that would work. I use metal moulds for the votives. The only way I could do that would be to do that after I remove them from the mould, but by that time the wax would have melted. The only way I can think of that might make this work is by putting the petals in the wax when it's melted...It might be easier to do with containers.....I'll have to play around with it. The wax I use for votives and the wax I use for containers are different.....I use only soy wax, but they are different. The container wax is designed to adhere to the sides of the containers, but votive wax is designed NOT to do that.
