I appreciate your reassurance that all is as it should be - I have no fear that Al has got it well in hand, and I will be more patient, and wait for the pictures to reappear in due course.
This post of Deborah's was the only sign (that I'd noticed) that anyone else might be having the "invisible photos" syndrome that I am having, so I was just concerned that the problem was something that I had done (or needed to do) such as a setting that could be re-set to allow for image viewing.

I think Al had this system
I think Al had this system sufficiently backed up so that he can access all the previous pictures....Actually, when I go to try to add an image, I can find stuff that I uploaded, and I believe I can see all of the other pictures. I'm not sure, but I suspect that this problem may be a simple matter of how the HTML coding is written and that should be easy enough for Al to fix.....I feel very sure that Al dotted all of his i's and crossed all of his t's many times to ensure that there were provisions to retrieve things if for some reason they got lost!

Zuzus and Deb, I think the
Zuzus and Deb, I think the answer is quite simple......the feature wasn't working properly.....You should see a picture of a camera immediately to the left of the smilies. If you click on that, another window should open up and allow you to upload images this way. This isn't the Java feature we had before.....It takes a while for this to open properly, or it did for me on a high speed cable Internet connection. From there, you should now be able to upload new images. If you can't, please let me know and I will contact Al.

Ah, Thanks Susan - I think I understand now, about the new upload method, but what about all of the photos that were previously posted to the site? Before the last system refinements.
For instance, if I visit the "Photo Galleries" or "Plant ID" forum, I can read all the text, but can see no photos with them . . . can you see the photos in those forums?
Does this mean that those ("pre-change photos") should all be "re-uploaded" using the new method? Or are you able to view what I cannot?

I'm having the same problem ~
I wish I knew what was going on, Deborah . . . I think I'm having the same problem that you are having - I'm not able to view photographs posted in the forums here.
I posted a question about it myself, but have not had any replies that explain why, or if it's widespread . . . until I read this post,
I thought it might be just me.
