HIya all,
I finally found my way over from the old site. more like had the time to get over here...i couldn't loose so i made time...
anyways, i started with cactus back in the summer and have become a full fledge addict. * pats self on the back* my house is a jungle...the more i get the more i want. all or most of all are just cuttings so i doubt i'll get any blooms this year but i look forward to the growth and possible blooms next year. I have a few with names but most are unknown cactus.
i'm zone 7 virginia...hope to do some trading in the spring. !!

Thanx for starting this
Thanx for starting this forum, now I feel like I have a place here.I dont do any outside gardening, unless you count the cactus I have on my roof in the summer.
The #1 killer of cactus is water. They need surprisingly little and its hard not to feel sorry for them when they look so dry and water them. Most need no water at all in the winter, and about every two weeks in the summer unless it is extremely hot and dry. When you re-pot or get a new cactus in the mail shipped to you bare root...you pot it and DONT water it for about a week,it needs time to recover and set its roots. Most all of them will do very well in Full sun as long as you introduce them as you would with any other plants.
We all lose some...even the best of growers, you'll get the hang of it.
WELCOME HOME
WELCOME HOME NHHONEY!!!
We can't wait to see pictures of all of your Great Cacti and succulents!

My passion for these is growing daily!
As soon as I get settled I will post pictures of what I have done with all you have shared with me and maybe you can help me ID them??
I really think this can be a great forum!
God Bless You My Friend
