my heart hurts for my husband

hi.
Jose has been my husband, my confident, my friend and my family's life saver for 32 years.
In 2001 he was diagnosed with colon cancer, after treatments, 8 surgeries and a lot prayers, he was cancer free in 2004. we thought the nightmare was over and done.
In march 2007, he was diagnosed with cancer again, after severa radiations and chemos and several surgeries and of course prayers in november his cancer levels were below normal, thank god. but the side effect of the radiation destroyed him., and he has been in recuperation since then and has not been well since then. (this time the tumor was grabbing the aorta artery.
last month the cancer level in his blood was going up by day and his health, and his energy, and his weight starting coming down by day.
He used to weight 210, now he is 120.
Monday I took him to the doctor....they admited him in the hospital, after many test....diagnosis : he has a cancerous tumor next to his kidney.....needs surgery but can not be done, he is very weak to resist it. the chemo that is required for this tumor is so strong that he will not tolerate it. doctors have not decided yet what will be done.....but he needs to gain some weight to do anything.
They are feeding him thru the vein since monday, plus he gets 3 meals a day and plus we take high calories snack that he eats all day long........since....thank god.....and even the doctors dont understand why....the more he eats the more hungry is. all this since monday.
as of today he gained 5 pounds but the level of cancer was higher today than last week.
I know that alot of the members in gh are very spiritual people, people of god, people of faith and hope.
Some believers of angels and miracles.
I am asking you to please include Jose in your prayers the same way we have done with other family member of gh.
gh is my therapy, I am not around more often because I take care of my husband plus I work full time and take care of my foster kids. but logging in to gh is a relief of tension for me.

Suzy, I'm praying for Jose and for you. I know this is so hard on Jose and just as hard for you.
My Dad also had colon cancer. Unfortunately it wasn't found in time but that was over 30 yrs ago. Modern medicine has come a long way and prayer can take you even farther. Have faith... I know all these prayers will be heard and God will answer. I believe in miracles and I know God answers prayers. I can honestly say this cause I've witnessed a few miracles and had prayers answered. All it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed.
May God be with you and Jose through this terrible illness. Please let us know of his progress and take care.

Susy, I'm so sorry to hear that your husband is so sick! I will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers. By the way, my mother also had colon cancer. Fortunately for her, it didn't spread very far, so after the surgery, she didn't require any chemo or radiation. The year following that surgery was a miserable one for her, because she contracted c-difficale, and couldn't get rid of the bacteria to save her life. She is fine now and turned 80 on Feb. 12, 2008!
I hope your husband continues to gain weight and get stronger.

Take care of yourself! Don't allow things to get to you too much, although I know that's really hard to do. We're all here for you anytime you need us!

Susan I will be praying for Jose and your family.
We don't know why we get illness' and disease but our Father is stronger that all. I pray for complete restoration and peace for Jose. HE is able and HE said he'd help us through it and he will.
I don't want to preach to you just testify that miracles happen. My mom has colon cancer and was very ill this time last year. She had surgery and her heart stopped. Friends, family, and church members prayed everyday at 6:00am. Her doctor told us he thought he had lost her on the operating table. Her heart stopped. My mom says she heard them talking and said she was a strong women while on the table. She is now cancer free. She wasn't, she had cancer in her lympnoids. She is only 126 lbs and still on a feeding tube to add nutrients but is doing well.
I want to give you hope that healing is possilbe for Jose and let's pray for that.

Father we ask that you bring COMPLETE restoration to Jose and to this precious family. Lord i ask that you heal his body bring restoration to his entire body...every cell. That his weight return to normal and that all cancer be gone in the name of Jesus!
That this family find favor Peace and comfort and that your miraculous healing be complete in them. That the Dr's have Wisdom lord your wisdom and that all that has been suffered and completed be to your GLORY that ALL see You and your Love for them in all of this.
Lord we don't always know why...but by there Faith let them be healed in JESUS Name I Pray
