My butterfly plants

Hi all.. I've been planting for butterflies for a while now. When I first moved into my little house there wasn't a butterfly to be seen. So...the first thing I did while cleaning up the front yard where most of my sun is was to start planting butterfly plants to attract them. I seeded everywhere I could with butterfly weed seed, then put in red penta which both the butterflies and hummingbirds love. I then trimmed back the wild lantanta that was already in the yard to promote new growth and flowering and planted some new bush red lantana as well. I seeded with lots and lots of zinnea, marigold, and parsley as well. Then bought a few butterfly bush plants in various colors, and have been able to transplant some of the babies last spring. Even though its considered a weed, I dug up some wild spanish needle which the butterflies adore and collected some of the seed and spread that around as well. Collected some native black eyed susan seed and a few other natives and got them started as well. Now..the yard if full of (last count) 10 different varieties of butterflies all spring and summer long. The monarch's came back last summer and laid tons of eggs on the butterfly weed and the hatching was termendous. I also now have 2 hummingbirds that come around every day around 6 or 6:30 in the evening during the summer sipping on many of the blooms.
I seeded one of my beds with several different varieties of lupines early this past fall and they are coiming up like mad. Once they bloom they will attract a variety of butterflies as well.
Just can't wait until late spring for the bee balm and other perrenials.

I don't expect to see them
I don't expect to see them again until the weather warms up a bit...it has been chilly here for the last couple of months...last I saw of them was around December I think.
