Leapin' Leprauchans for Seeds!!

Your rating: None

This will be open to ALL members of the site....Please list your top 17 seeds/bulbs  you are looking for ( 17 being for St Patrick's Day)

Members of the site, will then offer the seeds you have listed to you for postage or they can decide to become a Leapin Leprauchan and just share a part of their "pot of gold" with you...

If someone offers you a seed from your list, please come back to your list and place "offered" next to the name of the seed you had listed....this will keep you from getting multiples of the seed, AND allow others to recieve seeds too.

This should be a great way to share some of our "garden wealth" with others, and to make new friends !!!

I hope everyone will join in the fun !! This will be for the month of March, so Please post your list....lets all be GH leprauchans.

ALL Lists should be posted NO LATER THAN MARCH 15,  so there is time to mail before the end of march.

When you post your wish list, PLEASE post in the comment box at the bottom of the page, NOT by clicking reply on the last post....thanks !

I agree Also

I agree also Kym, We should make this an annual event. Ad Kym also thanks for  all your hard work and thinking of this great idea. Also thanks for sharing seeds with all of us here.

I'll 3rd 4th or 5th that

I'll 3rd 4th or 5th that idea!  Kym I think this is a wonderful thing to do and a great way to get everyone going on some spring planting!  I too want to thank you for the seeds you and everyone else shared with me and everyone that participated in your LL event...  I'd love to do it again next year!

Psst... maybe we can even do something like this in the fall for fall planting... bulbs and stuff... just an idea *hint hint*

Thanks again Kym!

Thanks Flwrs for hosting

Thanks Flwrs for hosting the Leapin Leprechauns seed share -I agree, doing this every year would be great!

I have really enjoyed sharing with all of my new GH friends! Many of my wish offers are still dormant, but its worth the wait! Thanks everyone for sharing with me!!!

Maw, I'll be sending your goodies as soon as those seeds I ordered come in (sometime this week). There's also an extra 'treat' in there for you!

An annual event is a great idea!

Kym, a special thanks goes out to you for hosting this.....I agree with Chell that making this an annual event would be really fun! It's not just that we got seeds or cuttings from our GH friends, but I'm delighted to say that I got a chance to meet a lot of wonderful new members I might otherwise not have met because there wouldn't be anything prompting this to happen.....so for that, I'm even more grateful!

Now, to anyone who may have had 4:00's on their list, please contact me. Grannyrose, I've got you covered there.....I 've still got a lot of seeds, and would gladly share. I may also have more tubers I could dig up -- once we dry out. We probably got 4 inches of rain here yesterday!

You, my friends, are the greatest!!  You've made my day, by making me forget this pain for a little while.  Your kind thoughts, and sweet messages mean the world to me.  I'm working on St. Paddy Day gifts a little a couple of times a day.  And, I breathed a HUGH sigh of relief when Kym reminded me that the list was to be posted by today, instead of mailing out today.  WHEW!

Love you dear friends,

I don't have Fleur de Lilac

I don't have Fleur de Lilac in plant form anymore......I got the impression that Datura is a seasonal annual. On the other hand, I'm almost POSITIVE that a lot of seeds wound up in a pot or on the ground, so when they come up, you're welcome to plants.

Susan, the Texas Yankee, the Texas Rangerette and the Assistant Administrator

SKBeal's Snazzy Tra

Susan, you have a treasure garden there!

I'd love to remind you later about EE's, I'll look the names of the ones you menitoned up to tell you which ones I'd like...I don't want to be gready :) And I will patiantly wait for your brugs to get bigger. I'll save this posting to remind you later. Thank you!!!

As for datura seeds, I have 4-5 different varieties sitting in the dirt under lights and on a heat mat. It's been 2-2.5 weeks, so if you say they take longer, I'll be waiting for them to come up.

Fleur de lilac is a VERY delicate pretty one (just looked it up), but I hope you have it in the plant form...I'd rather wait than waste more seeds...Tatyana

Tatyana

I'd like to play too!!! Finally I made up my list...

Tatyana, datura seeds are

Tatyana, datura seeds are easy. I just plunk them in dirt in a pot and wait. I will say that my experience with them last year was that they took quite a while to sprout. If you're interested in trying (and you strike me as someone who likes a challenge,) I've got seeds for huge white flowers. Not sure if I have Fleur de Lilac left.

You also mentioned that you want black Elephant Ears. I have or will have (provided they all come back,) Black Magic, Black Stemmed and Illustris, which is black and green with huge gorgeous almost velvet like leaves.

As for brugs, I have those too, but I just started mine recently from cuttings, so it may be quite a while before they are big and strong enough for me to take cuttings, but if you would like any of these things, I'll gladly share. You'll just have to remind me in a month or two so I don't forget about it. The EE's may be ready by then -- they make pups, but the brugs may be a while longer.
