Quite an accomplishment!

Congrats Melissa!  That's quite an accomplishment making such a variety of jams and jellies and winning so many ribbons!  I have never entered any of my jellies in the County fair.  I might enter some of them this year. Can't wait to see the pic of your flower arrangement that you won Best of Show for.

Recipe

Any possibility that I could get your squash relish recipe? I grow squash and would love some new recipes.

Sure thing....

Sure thing. I will have to hunt it up and I will post it in the recipes. I like it much better than pickel relish. Hands down my favorite.

Melissa, what a great

Melissa, what a great job!  You posted this at least a month ago and I just found it.  I have taken some photos by request and I am about to try and upload my first photo on the new site here.

My daughter talked several years back about entering some stuff in the county fair, but I wasn't really interested.  The recipes I use are not really my own.  They come with the boxes of pectin that I use.  I have gone strictly by the recipe on their sheet.  I'm not even sure what it would take to win a ribbon.

Go ahaed Randy....

Go ahead Randy. Start entering some of your goodies in the fair. You might be quite surprised what you win. I even got a check with money for all the winnings..The I won a Ball/Kerr award for using their jars. They sent me coupons that I used to purchase some more jelly jars with. YIPPIE....I have a lot of fun canning. However I am looking for a good salsa recipe....Got any.... Melissa

I don't generally get into

I don't generally get into the image posting area and I had a hard time finding this again, but that's my problem.  Yes, I have lots of salsa recipes.  It would please me greatly if you entered one of them in your county fair competition.  But there's a couple of ways to get them to you.  I can send you my file as an attachment to an e-mail or I can send you a CD that has all my gardening information on it.  I think I have 33 recipes for salsa on that disc and besides the notes that I included in the recipes, I can tell you which ones I like the best.  There are two recipes for 'mild salsa' that have no hot peppers in the recipe at all.  I know there is another 'mild' recipe that has just enough hot peppers in it to give it just a little zing.  There is one in there that is quite 'hot' and made with habanero peppers.  There are other 'hot' recipes that don't come close to that last one mentioned and there are 'mediums' and 'medium-hot'.  Whatever you like, there is one to fill the bill.  If you want the disc, I will need a mailing address.

Sounds good....

Sure I would love to have your recipes and I promise I will enter them in the fair. Whichever is easier for you. Just let me know and I can send you postage in return.

I put other stuff on the CD

I put other stuff on the CD also, since there is so much room on it.  I normally put sourdough information and recipes, garden info, pruning, and stuff like that.  The particular file that has the salsa recipes is 'CANFREEZDEHYDR' and the salsa recipes are under the subtopic of tomatoes.  So send me your mailing address and I will get that into the mail.  All my mailings are gifts though, so no postage will be accepted.  There is one sweet lady that went against my orders, but I have her number.  LOL
