Introductions!

I do not have much garden experience, but what I do have is a love for nurturing things; it is a brilliant feeling of satisfaction, watching tulips push their little stems out of the earth little by little. They mark the weeks that draw closer to spring. That sight is worth the back pain that is required to get them in the ground each fall.

This fall came and went without many bulbs going into the ground. My husband and I have suffered from the drought here in the south eastern region of the United States and our garden dreams have paid dearly.

This journal will include the transformation of our yard here at our first home together. I hope that this can serve as a window for all of the members here that I trade with so they can see what I do with our trades.

I find that writing is a process, I find it relaxing, be that there is not a rubric in which I must follow or a standard by which my writing must be boxed into. I find that many times gardening is my refuge from family stress, and in that process I work through many issues.  I do plan to use spell check so that people can clearly understand what I am saying and hope to use punctuation and words correctly, but please don't worry if I miss a comma or create a run on every now and again.

With the brightest of intentions,

SILLYLILLY
