Great advice from everyone!
Paying attention to weather conditions and knowing that the P.O. does the best they can to deliver things in a timely manner, things do happen.
And while we are on the subject of mail, the post office is raising their rates by a penny come May!

LOL treeman... cute!! panty hose,,, hehehehhee
daylilyfanatic, this is my take on shipping plants,,, if a person mails a plant the short amount of time it takes to get to another person shouldn't cause a plant to get leggy,, we are talking a few days here not enought time to cause a plant to get leggy... if i was to get a leggy plant then i would say it was leggy to start with. when i mail out a plant i try to send my best ones to start with.
Pay it FORWARDS!! You never know, it may come back to YOU when you need it!!

I agree DeeDee. Plants really won't get leggy in a couple days.
It is best to ship all plants priority (2day) mail. This will insure the plant will get to your friend in the shortest time possible. It costs a little more, but it's worth it to know that it will arrive in good condition. It's also best to avoid shipping plants at extreme hot or cold times of the year, in particular areas. A plant sitting in a mailbox when it's 100 degrees will not be happy.
