Dwarf Rose Canna 1st Bloom

This is a dwarf rose canna I grew from seed.  I started my cannas in late December.  It's just over 1ft tall.  I am not sure if this is as tall as it's going to get.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

WOW I just love that color, and they grew fast for you...I have some canna started and they are about 3 inches high...I had some dwarf canna last season and they didnt bloom till fall, I am hoping to get some to bloom earlier this season.

Wow, Dorothy! That's one gorgeous color! Is the foliage sort of reddish or is is just green? I'm sure amazed that you got one to bloom that quickly especially when you started it from seed! Way to grow, girl! It's gorgeous! Congrats on the spectacular bloom!

That was the first to bloom

That was the first to bloom but 3 more have opened since.  There are are 16 total buds right behind these blooms.  This one also has 2 more shoots already.  Grow Canna Grow!  The foliage is all green.  I have 2 more of the rose colored ones that are about to bloom.  I planted 2 other colors about a month later.  I wish I would have done them all at once but was afraid I was going to run out of  growlight space.  I love this seed starting thing!

Dorthy I think that is as tall as it gets. I have some drawf ones too and they only got about a foot to afoot and a half last year. Very pretty flowers.

I started the seeds for these on 12/26.  I am surprised they bloomed so fast.  They have been on heatmat under growlights pretty much most of that time.  I took them outside when it was warm.
