I plant hunt!!

Every Spring, Summer and Fall I go out on hunting expeditions to all the local garden centres and nurseries!  I search and look for that 'got to have plant' that most inexperienced gardeners tend to pass by!  All because they are afraid to buy, and plant anything new, or out of the ordinary! I aslo go to the Royal Botanical Gardens spring and fall plant sales.  They always have a few plants that are very out of the ordinary!!

There is another one in the series that Barlow hybridized called 'Black Barlow' It has the same double blooms, but in dark purple/almost black!

Wow, Ron! That's one I've

Wow, Ron! That's one I've never seen or heard of before! It sure is beautiful though......I'm sure it attracts lots of bugs and butterflies.....I can't tell whether that flower is as beautiful as I'd like to think it is, or we've got one cracker jack photographer in our midst who really knows how to take a great picture. Ever thought of turning those fabulous pictures into post cards? Thanks for sharing -- both the picture and the flower with us!!!!!!!!!

These guys self-seed a

These guys self-seed a little too well so i remove the spent flower stalks and just leave a few seed cases to ripen.  They always come up as doubles.
