Angelica is considered a biennial herb, often blooming the second year.  For me, they are short lived if let go to seed, but self sow freely for new plants.

They make an interesting addition to a wildflower garden or perennial border.  Great for attracting bees and butterflies.

Connie..thanks for feeding my obsession a little bit more, with all of these wonderful pictures, and plant id's. This is one I havent seen before...is this in the dill family ?

I love trying to grow

I love trying to grow the unique and different!  (tell hubby I'm sorry...Wink 

It is from the same Family (Apiaceae), includes carrot, dill, parsley and many others.  There are many species of Angelica.  Here's a link with more information about them...

Connie, I am always looking for the odd and different plant, I dont want my yard to have only commons like the rest of the town..LOL I just LOVE the color of this plant...Thanks again !
