I grow these guys for their foliage.  I snip out and remove the flower stalks as they develop.  The flowers are in loose clusters atop long stems in a drab sulphur color.

With just the foliage the

With just the foliage the plant grows 8-10" high and about 12" wide.  Need, dividing every couple of years.  The flower stems grow to a little more then 18" tall.  Flowers are a sulphur yellow/green color in clusters atop these stems.  I snip them out each year since they look (to me) messy and are not particularly pretty..

Glad you told me...

Glad you told me about the flowers...I would've been disappointed.  Park Seed and/or Burpee or wherever I researched them before acted like they were SO beautiful - the flowers, I mean.  So, now I'll know that they're not all that spectacular!!  Wink  I love the plants though...thanks for sharing pics!!!

How tall do these get?

How tall do these get?  And, how wide?  Do they spread?  I am starting a shade garden this year and, actually, I am in the middle of a trade for one of these.  I think I'd like to get a couple more of them but I'll wait and see...
