The woodland Phlox, 'Phlox dyvairihkay'tuh', is a perennial wildflower that ranges in color from pale lavender-pink, to blue. Sometimes these same flowers are known as wild Sweet William, and Louisiana Blue Phlox. They are hardy from zones 3a to 8b, thus they cover a large area of the United Sates. Plant them in shade to part shade, as they would have in a woodland setting. It is known for it's fragrance. Propagation is by seeds or stem roots.
