What will grow under a Black Walnut Tree?

What will grow under a Black Walnut tree? The roots of a black walnut put out juglone, which can stunt or kill other plants growing beneath the tree. This can effect plants in a 60 foot radius around the tree. I have a small list of plants which you can successfully grow under a black walnut tree.
- Eastern Redbud
- Canadian Hemlock
- Red Cardinal Clematis
- Euonymus
- Weeping Forsythia
- Rose of Sharon
- Arborvitae
- some Viburnums
- Wax Begonia
- Pansy/Viola
- Zinnia
- Wood Anemone
- Astilbe
- Coral Bells
- Daylily
- Hosta
- Sundrops
- Sensitive Fern
- Lungwort
- Sedum
- Lamb's Ears
- Impatients
- Tiger Lilies
What have you had success growing here? What has been a disappointment? Do you have any other helpfull info I have left out? I'm definetly no expert, just hoping to help someone with the same sitiuation!
I planted a Honeycomb Butterfly Bush on the other side of the sidewalk from our tree and it didn't make it. Not thinking I replaced it with a new Butterfly Bush this year. DUH!! Think I need to move that!
Thanks Treeman
Thank you Treeman. I will leave the new butterfly bush were it is and see how it does. If I notice it going down hill then, I'll move it! Ummm, you remind me...I have a red maple waiting to be planted. I better get to it!!

Budilea under walnut
Poppy Lover, it may not have been all the fault of the walnut in the demise of the Butterfly bush. Honeycomb, the yellow butterfly bush is at best a zone 7 or above shrub. It rarely survives long in zone 6.
