What is a Round Robin & how do I play?
A Round Robin or RR is a trade that goes around to several people, each taking from and adding to the stash. Like the letters families used to send around, each member adding something to the letter.
RRs & specialty swaps should only be hosted by Moderators and above.
As an example, if I hosted a seed RR - I'd first gather a list of people who wanted to play - then start with a bunch of my seeds, properly labeled, dated,
etc, put them in a mailer & send to the first person on the list, they would take out whatever they wished, and replace each packet with one of their own; then they send to the next person on my list; and on and on.
After it gets to the last person on the list, they send back to me & I should have entirely different seeds than I started out with, and everyone along the way got different seeds too.
(Generally the host may end up with quite a few extras - with multiples I usually donate to new member packets OR send for postage to new folks, but it's up to the host what they do with them as they went through all the organizing, tracking, etc.)
Responsibilities of playing?
You should only take one of each kind of packet (leave some for others).
Don't take only rare seeds & put in common. (like taking a daylily seed & replacing with marigold - not fair)
You should have the mailer going out to the next person on the list within 2-3 days.
It is ALWAYS a good idea to use delivery confirmation on RRs (even if it is not requested)
& send either first class or priority, depending on weight
- no parcel post.
Take whatever you wish, but replace each one with one of your own.
If there is a delay or issue
for ANY reason, please post & contact the host of the RR.
Other RRs may have specific rules posted, such as heirloom veggies - would be only heirloom and only veggies.
Hope this helps. Let me know if anyone
still has questions.

** Notes from skbeal -
we generally restrict participation to super traders who are in good standing. That means that anyone who receives negative points -- even if those negative points don't cause them to fall below super trader status -- won't be allowed to participate in ANY exchange. Anyone who fails to honor their end of a RR in anyway will not be allowed to participate in future RR's until such a time as they have proven themselves to be trustworthy and honorable...The same applies for people who receive negative points.
Anyone who fails to honor
Thanks Dizzy and Susan --
