This was a normal left click

This was a normal left click and I clicked on the Member Photo to see it larger.  That cleared my reply.  I'll have to remember that and stay focused on the business at hand.

Randy, I am not sure why

Randy, I am not sure why that white line is there. Could it be that it is something that happens when this site resizes them?

Beats me.  I see that there

Beats me.  I see that there is no white line on the picture under the "Member Photos" area.  I also found out that you don't want to click on anything else until you post a reply that you have started.  It goes away.  LOL

So did I, but it hasn't had any problem making mine smaller! I have just uploaded them without a problem.

I thought they have to be

I thought they have to be 500 x 500 to resize them.   Is that incorrect?

T, this system resizes

T, this system resizes pictures for you! When you upload them, it changes their dimensions....I haven't had to resize any of my large pictures!

How many megapixels is your camera? I have mine set on its max --- and I am getting this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 9088 bytes) in /home/gardenhe/public_html/includes/image.inc on line 308

I think, perhaps, my camera is taking photos at more than the system can handle, unless I resize first.

What do you think?

That's a good picture, but

That's a good picture, but there is a white line across the middle of it.  I first thought the white line was a wire, but I saw some other pictures elsewhere and the white line was across them too.

I love that herb garden in

I love that herb garden in spring.  I guess I am going to have to learn how on my photos.  My big concern is that my original photos are pretty large files -- so I think I may have to resize before they system will resize them to its purpose.

 You can embed them by

You can embed them by using that little tree my friends! There is no need to shrink...this place does all that for you! It will create the thumbnails, too! The trouble is that you guys aren't succeeding in embedding the pictures in your posts. We're supposed to be able to take pictures from our photo area and place the URL in the proper place and have that embed the picture in the post.....
