WOW....RANDY COBB... I got the package from you in the mail on Saturday. I thought that you were only going to be sending the CD with the recipes on it. But with much delight I got a jar of your salsa, apple butter, marionberry jam, address labels, and 2 CDs. And you wonder why people send you things back. I am thinking that you are just going to have to receive some of my squash relish, pickled green tomatoes and I am still trying to figure out which one of my preserves or jams you would like best. I have pear, peach, strawberry, and blackberry. All of the muscadine is gone.

Thanks for all the goodies......

I figured that would

I figured that would surprise you a little.  LOL  But I also figured that as long as I was going to send the recipes for salsa, I might as well make the parcel count.  I did some thinking about what to send.  I know you are an excellent jam maker, but you don't have Marionberries there.  So at least you can have a taste of our northwest berries.  The apple butter is made from the apples from our McIntosh tree.  The salsa is more of a medium hot than it is 'hot', but I find that is pretty relative.  I like to use the salsa on my wife's meat loaf and also on scrambled eggs.  And it certainly goes well as a dip for tortilla chips.  But since you were interested in the salsa recipes, I figured it would be good to give you a sample.  I designate the salsa with batch numbers and that one was made in 2006.  The batch numbers read 06-?  with the ? being the number of the batch like 1 for the first batch of the year, etc.  That jar happened to be a pretty old jar too as it is round and not the shape of those currently available.  Let me know if you have any questions about the recipes.  And you are very welcome, by the way.
