Description
Good flavor, prep nite before, plug in next morning, serve with salad and garlic bread! Even my teenager at the time, liked it!
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb italian sausage
- 1⁄2 lb ground round or sirloin
- 1 15 ounce plain marinara sauce
- 1 can diced tomatoes (with italian seasoning) undrained
- 1 c fresh mushrooms (i used portobellos sliced thick)
- 1⁄8 t cilantro
- 1⁄4 t mincd garlic (i used garlic in jar - but fresh is ok)
- 1 c mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 9 ounce packaged refrigerated cheese tortellini
Instructions
Night before, break the sausage and beef into large pieces and cook over medium heat about 10 minutes, drain. Next morning, spray inside of crock pot with cooking spray. Mix the sausage and beef mixture with and all rest of ingredients and put into crock pot - turn on low and let cook till you get home.
Notes
I fix salad nite before and prep garlic bread (we were on tight budget- so often I used mildly stale hot dog buns) - put in oven for toasting - change your clothes, set table and sit down to good meal.
