I tell ya... this woodchuck was put on the earth strickly to torment me! I WOULD NOT believe this if I hadn't see it with my own eyes! This morning, this hairy varment that has munched on my gardens all summer... slyly avoided a trap... and is not at all affected by my chasing him into the woods many times... LOL!... HE had the audasity to come up to my patio door window... proceeded to scratch on the glass!! ... THEN went over to MY sweet potato vine, grabbed a little snack... posed, so cute (haha) for several photos and then slithered under the deck! UNBELIEVABLE! Oh, how I love nature! LOL

So funny!
I'm sorry for your trouble, but that picture and your description is so funny. Good luck with your problem.

Okay...
Sharon... I admit, it was very close to humorous. I could just hear that darn beast saying... Hey you, look at me!... I'm the one who has been carefully pinching back your sweet potato vine for you...
At least I've managed to keep him out of the greenbeans. They can mow down whole rows of plants in there in a day!
Hey treeman... I sure wish woodchucks could chuck wood and he would just hang out in the wood pile! I don't suppose you know the average life expectancy of these wonderful creatures?... that is, if they don't run into a bit of lead!
Reminds me
Reminds me of that ole tounge twister
"How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?"

Ha!
When I heard the scratching, I thought it was my neighbor's dog... she brings him along when she comes over to visit and he always scratches on the glass. Yeah, Silly ME... when I saw what it was, I grabbed the camera instead of the shotgun... LOL!
