Herb Articles?

I would love to see some articles about herbs.  Each herb is a potential article.  In anddition to basics of how, what, when, where to grow them, each herb comes with its own history that can be fasicinating.  Weave the historical elements with the basics above to give an article a unique feel, flavored by the author.

    Rosemary

I have killed several rosemary bushes and my daughter just gave me one for Mother's day. It is beautiful and full and I do not want to kill it.

    How do I grow it.

I love the smell and the look and using it in cooking and hairwash etc...

But I have no clue how to keep it alive

I want to grow basil, oregano, sage, thyme and rosemary in a container garden in my yard, so I can bring them in to the sun porch in the winter.

Should I use clay or plastic pots.  the place I want to put them is full sun all day.  Will this kill the rosemary??????

Well, I have a small herb garden with onion chives, common chives, and rosemary all growing in the ground and basil in pots. Just thought I'd give it a whirl and see how it goes.

The herb part is the root

It does not have any medicinal properties until the root is atleast two years old.  So do not try to use it till then.
