Actually, they are quite beneficial. They eat bad bugs everywhere -- in your house, off your plants, in general outside. I used to want to get rid of them, but I've taken to allowing them to hang out -- especially since they eat bugs. I have little lizards around here that are called "green anoles." They also eat bugs....I have found them sleeping on leaves of my plants many times! I think spiders are cute!

most spiders are beneficial. Of course I like to keep mine outside of my house. I have seen some in the garage that have caught lots of bugs. The one you have pictured looks like the little black one that jumps around.
