Shrink Images for Dummy

What to do, oh what to do??? That is the question. Some of you may or may not know, but I got a new camera this past week.
My other digital camera wasn't savvy enough for my Windows Vista on my laptop. Let me say it could have been an operator problem as well.
The challenge began after I took my first photos. The images were great but then the technical stuff came into play. SHRINK PHOTO to be able to share the images on GardenHere.
When you are a computer illiterate, well almost, this becomes a real mission. I had spent many hours trying different shrink programs, probably six different programs in all. Some just don't like me and or Windows Vista. The photos I had posted were grainy and some of you bless your heart told me how good they looked and thanked me for sharing. Kinda like the mama with the ugly baby syndrome. You know he or she is ugly but you're proud anyway.
Then SKBeal mentioned to me about trying Easy Thumbnail at Fookes online. I thought to myself what can one more program matter so I agreed to give it a try. Also, I liked the idea about Easy Thumbnail since when you go to Add Content and Images it states "An image (with thumbnail)".
I got excited with a small glimmer of hope with the thumbnail, maybe just maybe the program and me with my limited computer skills would be compatible. Wanted to be fresh and alert when I started trying the new program so I planned to wait until today to try the new software.
With the excitement of wondering if this program would work, I couldn't sleep. I woke up before 4 AM, made a pot of coffee and headed to my laptop. Well much to my delight the program worked, painlessly in fact. The same photo of the pelican that I posted previously isn't grainy. Now if I could learn to crop my images I will be arriving, as the old saying goes.
So folks, bear with me and I promise to delete my "ugly babies" as soon as I post some pretties. Had mentioned to Al and others a few days ago someone needed to invent a program "Shrink Photos for Dummies". I feel that Foose really has helped at least one "Dummy". If you are having the same problem, please contact me and maybe together we can work through your problem. Just know that you are not alone.
