My front yard shade garden gets dappled sun under a stand of mature oak trees. Some of the perennials that do well here are Astilbes, Ferns, Bergenia, Heuchera, Turtlehead, Virginia Bluebells, Fernleaf Bleeding Heart, Lily of the Valley, Pachysandra, Moneywort, Black-eyed Susans, and of course, many types of Hostas. I plant Impatiens here and there in spring for added color.
