I have noticed that you can rate some of the post.
What is that all about?
I think I saw this on the trade list.

I did it
Yesterday I couldn't rate anything to save my soul, but today I could. Glad it finally worked for me.

How to Rate
I'm confused, how does one rate? What is the procedure to do so? Is is just subjective or is there a sytem?
Thanks, Edda

What gets rated
You can rate anything for which there are stars below it. I believe that the things that can be rated are trade lists, articles, recipes and plant ID's.
Any time you see stars below something that is posted on the site, you can rate that. Rating articles, recipes and plant ID's is a good way to give your fellow members feedback on their contributions. Rating trade lists helps others know when you've had a really great trade, or if you think someone has done an exceptional job of posting their trade list.
All ratings are subjective, but we hope that whenever anyone chooses to rate something, that they will be honest about it. In addition, you should earn a point every time you rate something. I hope this clarifies things!

I tried...
I tried to rate something yet nothing happened. I guess my question is how do you submit a rating? I tried to highlight the stars where it says rate, but nothing happened. No rating showed up. So how does it happen?

Sorry
I had a problem with rating an article today, but it cleared up and seems to be working okay.
When you click on a rating stars to the right your vote is immediately recorded and averaged in with the other votes. The number of votes should increase by one.

If I am not mistaken,
If I am not mistaken, that's for rating trades, articles, tips and other things. General posts on the board like these don't get rated. Here, though, when you rate something, I don't know whether we can enforce it, but there is an area where you can comment as well. When rating a trade, or commenting on an article, you can rate it accordingly. This will force people who don't rate the people with whom they trade well to be accountable for those ratings.
