Potted Gardenia

This Cape Jasmine/Gardenia is an example of a hardy perennial grown from a rooted flower stem. The leaves were removed part of the way up to allow the stem to be completely in water. These were started in 2006 during the bloom season, and have progressed to bloom stage after one growing season. They were transplanted into large patio pots last summer where they should grow and bloom for a long time.
