Need your opinions. I have these plants growing in my shade/woodland garden. They were here when we moved in several years ago. They look like daylilies, but never bloom. I did move one to a sunny location for 1 season, and no flower. BUT - it started to SPREAD, so I took them out. I will attempt to attach pictures so you can take a look. The roots don't looks like the roots of daylilies that I'm familiar with, they are more like nutlets on the ends? What does everyone think?

The only plant that comes

The only plant that comes to mind is nutsedge.  It looks somewhat like a daylily and the roots develop small tubers.  nutsedge

I may be wrong

But it looks like a daylily to me. Someone else will probably have a better answer.
