Thanks Gloria and Dale
Those are
some great looking greens Kat. I love any kind of greens. I am going to plant a fall garden for the first time. I will grow Kale, courtesy of my friend Dale, mustards, collards, and turnips. Yummy

Hello Grannyrose
Hello Grannyrose,
I am doing a fall garden for the first time too! I am excited about it. I didn't know that you could grow kale in a winter garden. I have to add that one to my list too. I also love any type of greens. My father use to grow a garden every year, and that is where I would always be found out in the okra patch with the garden hose and a tomato and a cuke. I was like peter rabbit cause as soon as dad would catch me he would chase me out. Hee Hee I was a little stinker when it came to my dad's garden. Well I will chat with you later. Happy Gardening, Kat.
Those greens do look yummy.

Turnips
Actually Susan
Actually Susan its Turnip, Seven Top (greens). I got to put up one bag of it but the next day it was eatin' hee hee! They were just that good. I am going to plant more for the fall and hopefully be able to have them over winter. If it don't get eat up in two days.
YUM!
Is that Mesclun mix? I adore that stuff....baby lettuces that are most tender and sweet......The trouble with growing them here in Texas is that it gets so hot so quickly and most greens like that aren't amenable to hot weather -- or whether as hot as we get....97 is our average this time of year. I suppose I could grow that all winter, or inside.
