My thoughts and prayers go out to all those in Ike's paths, and for families who have family or friends in Texas. I know our own Skbeal lives in Texas, and hope and pray that Susan and her husband are safe.

Thank you all for your prayers and caring. I think I got off SCOTT free -- save for a small amount of rain and some heavy duty winds. The wind is still pretty fierce, but I guess I should be thankful I was spared.
Grannyrose, I hope everything is intact when you return home and that you didn't sustain any significant damage. I hope and pray that all the rest of the people who are facing flooding from Arkansas to Illinois and those who were in the thick of things right on the coast are safe.
God Bless you all! It's wonderful to have such loyal and caring friends!

Maw, I'm glad that you're okay! After all your worrying about my safety, as I watched coverage of Ike on every channel that was covering it, I saw that some of it was aimed at you...........Sounds like you got more than we did -- but my hubby said that parts of our town got quite a bit of rain. Here, we hardly got more than a heavy sprinkle. All my plants survived without much damage. We had very strong winds -- some of them sustained at 45 or 50 mph or greater for most of the afternoon....The 12 ft tall Russian Red cannas weren't blown over, but a few leaves took a beating, as did the leaves on my Illustris EE. All in all, they all came out of this is remarkable condition!
Grannyrose, I hope you get your power back soon, and that the rest of the damage wasn't substantial. I hope that Oma and Smitha are alright, but I doubt they'll be able to return home for a while. Downed power lines and knee or waist deep water isn't a good combination.
Thanks to all who prayed for our safety. I think your prayers were really answered.
