My Day Trip to Myrtle Beach and Calabash NC

This weekend my husband Dewey and I celebrated two days.  Saturday, April 26, 1971 Dewey was discharged from the United States Air Force.  Today 41 years ago he traveled to Ft. Jackson SC to get his physical and was inducted into the Air Force.

The Vietnam conflict was engaged and the majority of service men knew where they were headed after Boot Camp.  To honor his "anniversary" we took a day trip for shopping at the outlet malls in Myrtle Beach, SC and then on to Calabash NC for a seafood feast at the Dockside Restaurant right on the docks at the inlet.

As the saying goes, "Time flies when you are having fun".  Well we must have had a lot of fun these thirty seven years because these years only seem like ten, possibly fifteen years at most.  We will be married thirty seven years this September, then we will have another anniversary to celebrate.  Always enjoy a reason to celebrate.
