This is a close relative to Heuchera (Coral Bells).

Leaves are sharply cut and look like fans which turn crimson in the fall.

Penny, it is spelled Crimson!!

This small photo doesn't do this plant any justice since a lot of the detail is lost. 

It makes a wonderful groundcover, or as a specimen.
