Moonvines: Round 2

I had 2 very healthy moonvines growing since mid February, and about 10 days ago I decided I wanted to harden it off a little, since it was sooooo warm and sunny outside. Every day I'd put the pot under a tree in semi shade for a few hours.

May be it was still too much sun or wind for little seedlings, but one didn't make it and another one is in tough shape: paper thin, barely any color left in the leaves, not sure if it will make it.

A great gardener shared some seeds with me. This blog is my attempt to keep good records of my  moonvine progress. And possibly other vines I am attemting to grow for the first time.

Today, 04/05/08, I started soaking:

~ 3 white moonvine seeds

~ 3 pink moonvine seeds

~ 12 MG "Scarlet O'Hara" (from a generous trades by GH friend)

~ 3 purple hyacinth vine seeds

~ 6 luffa cylindrica seeds

I am using a small air pump to pump air into the cup with the seeds. First time I was trying to germinate moonvine seeds, this method worked great for me (germinated in 1 day and grew almost an inch long in 5 days), so I am using it again. The only thing is I am confused about, when do I nick the MG seeds....before or after I soak them?

I'm planning to sow the seeds outdoors under a plastic bottle/ mini greenhouse effect.
