Laurie, as you go into your MRI today, know that the crowd at GH is with you in mind and prayers.  Unless they have place your arms at an odd angle to get the pics they want, it will be a snap and then you should be on your way to scheduling your surgery.  May God be with you!

Thanks everyone. I 'm going

Thanks everyone. I 'm going to Boston on Thursday to see the surgeon to talk about the MRI results and hopefully set up the surgery for my right elbow as I would like to have that one done first as I'm left handed and my parents are leaving the end of May to drive to Yellowstone for a month so they won't be around to help me like they did when I had my carpel tunnel surgery. I had a real hard time doing anything when my left wrist was done as I'm a totally lefty...I figured I would be able to do something for myself if my right elbow was done first and my parents are gone. The nurse at work said she would come by and change my bandgage if my parents are gone. Work is only 4 miles away and she has been awesome to me. Hoping to have the right one done while my parents are home but if not a cousin has offered to drive me down.

Sue, thanks for  letting Peggy know. I've got to get her email again.

Will keep you updated once I know what is going on when I get home on Thurs.

Laurie asked me to post this

They are over, thank goodness. Had them done tonight at 5pm. They did the right elbow first and had me in a fetal position with my right arm out and after a few minutes, my shouler to my fingers starting really hurting. They told me that my arm and hand would go to sleep but the pain was awful. By the time they were done I was bawling my eyes out as it hurt so much. I had to grit my teeth together to make it through. When she came on and said she needed to do the last one over and I replied how long is it going to take cause I just could not handle the pain any more, it took 2 minutes so I gritted and got though it. They had me on my back for the left one and put my arm over my head and that was so much better. It went to sleep but I didnt have the pain like I did with the right one. I got about 10 minutes in between to recoup and each one took about 40 minutes. They gave me 2 cd's of the pics, one for the dr and one for me to keep. Guess I have to call the dr and ask them if they want me to mail it or email it to them. I thought the MRI place would get it to my dr but I guess not. Please feel free to post this on the forum as I will not be on for a few days. My elbows are really bothering me and I've got to get off and take a pain pill and go to bed. Sorry that I'm not able to reply to your emails and pm's as it really bothers me to be on the computer too much. I do read them and thanks for them. Can someone please let Peggy G know aka P.L. as she had pm'd me and I don't have her email address anymore, not sure why. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Hugs Laurie

I'm glad

it is over for now Laurie.  I could feel your pain when Equus was giving up an update.  I know it was hurting you, some MRI's are so painful.  Get plenty of rest and wait for your surgery.  The recuperation will be here soon.

I am sending praying and hugs your way.

Good Luck!

Are you having back problems? Both my sister and husband have had back surgery! If you are anxious about it, I will tell you this: the pain you endure from the surgery will seem amazingly short lived in the grand scheme of things. Once you've recovered, you'll feel like a new woman.

You will be in the thoughts and prayers of all of us!
