Printer-friendly versionHey y'all, as senior moderators, you should be able to edit or delete messages. I don't know whether you all can edit or delete messages or whether you can see a menu for flagged items. I can't. If we are to launch this site next weekend, we need to iron these kinks out before then. I need to know whether you guys have the ability to do any of the things that you should be able to do as moderators. Only senior moderators, Benji (The Administrator who is Al incognito) and I should have rights to delete messages or to flagged items. I need to know in as much detail as you can give me what you are able to do in terms of editing, deleting, seeing any kind of flagged items menu, etc. Also, we should have a menu that only we can see -- one for moderators and one for senior moderators. I can see both. I don't know whether yours has anything other than a list of names, but that's all mine has.

I can edit/delete all new topic posts/first messages, ,,everyones! (at the top of the page) But, on the replys/comments,,I only have reply, flag this, Email. And , yes ,,,I have 'edit ' under my replys only. The same as what you see, Susan!

Connie, are you talking about an edit at the top of the page? That only allows you to edit that first message. Do you see that on all messages or just the ones you post? When there are multiple replies to messages, are you merely seeing "reply" "flag this" and "e-mail page" on all posts other than your own? That's what I am seeing. On my own messages, I have "edit" in place of the "reply."

You are correct, when you edit, it doesn't show that the message was edited or who edited it....I don't like that. You are probably seeing the "edit" for your own messages but not for anyone else's.....unfortunately, this seems to be the case for all of us.
Al, is it possible to show who edited a message when it is edited? Not knowing this will make it hard to keep track of what's going on.

Al, I selected the proper
Al, I selected the proper permissions when I gave access to the forums and allowed moderators, senior moderators and you and I to edit. Then I added the delete feature for just you, me, and the senior moderators. My question to you is this: why after I set these things and click on the submit is it changing all the time? Everytime I go back there to see what's what, everything I have selected has changed. Do we have a problem here?

Okay, fans! For me to be helpful, I need to ask you to be more specific. Let's begin with comments, such as this one, senior moderators and our forum manager, should have the following links below each comment:
delete, edit, reply, flag this, Email this page
Moderators should have exactly the same links, without 'delete' as this feature is reserved for senior moderators and the forum manager.
I will check to see what happened to the forums. I suspect permissions have changed and this is an easy fix.
Add image is giving me fits and I will continue working on this. Galleries and such may come and go as I tinker with it.

Yep. Access permissions were 'a kilter' and have now been put back in place and all forums should now be visible. Let me know if forums still do not appear as they should for everyone.
If anything else is not working as you think it should, please let me know so I can fiddle with it --Friday is almost here and I know some of our members will want to visit and poke around.

I'm not able to see all the forums this morning but I see Garden One is online so he maybe working on the site. I have Garden Critters at the top of the forum page too..as Randy has. Yep, the Picket fence is missing and New Members forum as well as any that were above the Critters forum.
