Larkspur is an heirloom flower, and has been widely  used in the cottage garden look.  I've longed to grow them since I began gardening in earnest, but could never get seeds from a friend to germinate.  So, I bought Rocket Larkspur seed last summer, and they are doing great.  Some of the bloom spikes are single, while others are double. They are annuals in zone 8, but I'm hoping for  good re-seeding when the blooms finish.  They like full sun, and come in colors white, lavender, pink, and purple.
