I'll Be Away

I wanted to let you all know I will be away from home. I am leaving this morning to go to my Mother's and spend the night tonight and Sunday night with my Mom and Stepdad.  I will be back at home on Monday. I will not have internet connection while I am gone.

Enjoy your trip and enjoy your Mother!  I lost my Mother in 1989, and it left a void that nothing else can fill.  However, one way I keep her close in memory is to plant flowers, and enjoy the blooms.  Flower gardening was a very special part of her life.  A stone that lies at the entrance of my wildflower garden says:

"In search of my Mother's garden, I found my own." 

I try to plant things that I remember so vividly in her flower beds.  Larkspur, Hollyhock, Sweet Williams, Verbena, etc.  So, you have much to be thankful for that you still have your mother to visit.  I visit mine in my heart.
