Most hummers are aggressive; it's in their nature. They are very territorial and part of what we perceive as aggressiveness is just what they do to protect their perceived territories. I have loads of them. They are competitive as all heck. They try to prevent one another from eating at the feeder. Every now and again, I'll have a few who eat at a feeder at one time, but with 5 feeders out in a relatively small area, there should be plenty of nectar for all. The hummers around here are so in tune with everything that they keep track of when I change the feeders and put cool nectar out, and they are right there as soon as I've put the feeders back and gotten out of their way!
