Thanks eveyone.. I haven't planted any allum and when i crushed it between my fingers it didn't have an onion smell.  I have some iris planted not too fat from it but it really doesn't look the same. im going to try to upload a picture to photobucket then i will put a link on here if i can.

Could it be a dutch iris? Like DizzyD said its sorta hard to tell with the small photo, but from what I can see, it looks like my dutch iris. MIne are beginning to get their flower buds, so depending on where you are, if that is what it is it should soon be getting flower buds. Hope this helps! 

To confirm that it is allium, pick a leaf and crush it between your fingers. If it smells like onion, then that is what it is!

I think if you were to dig carefully around it, you would find a bulb. Can't be sure with small photo, but looks like allium of some sort (did you plant any?) - they are in the onion family.

They do tend to look a bit like this when first growing - I have several that look like this and probably won't bloom for me this year as they are just getting established, but are storing energy & food in the bulb and will be mature enough to bloom next year.
