Garden Arbor

This is the arbor that I built last summer. I have a red climbing rose on one side and yellow on the other. Now that my roses are waking up after the winter I will have to update this picture in a couple of months.Garden ArborGarden Arbor

Where did you get plans for

Where did you get plans for such a lovely design...simple, yet sophisticated. My husband and I looked at some gazebos, but they are so expensive to buy prefab, and we are not sure gazebo is a way to go.... I always invisioned something similar to your arbor for the space we have, not a gazebo.... may be I can convince him if you point me in the right direction for the plans? Thank you,

Tatyana

Been Looking

I've been looking around at designs for an arbor for our back (main) entranceway from driveway to house between smoke house and kitchen.  This simple design, modified to add benches on either side for sitting and setting bags of groceries down, may just fit the bill.  Its simple appearance will  fit the old turn of the centry country Elizbethean style of the house well.

I think sweet auytumn clematis on the open west side and one of the newwer species clematis mixed with an old fasioned pink rambler rose on the protected east would be my choice of occupants.

Beautiful!

This really looks nice! I'd love to have one myself.....but I don't have an appropriate situation for one! I can just see how lovely it would be to sit there enjoying the arbor and the wafting fragrance of flowers! Sweet autumn clematis is really lovely, too!!!

My daughter would love to

My daughter would love to have that arbor and bench to use for her photography work.  I did build her a gazebo though a couple of years ago.
