The Golden Jumping Spider

The Golden Jumping Spider beneficial?  This none too pretty spider??   Actually it is a beneficial spider, as most spiders are.  This variety has the ability to jump a small distance, and catch prey such as flies, gnats, and garden pests.  Even house spiders are encouraged, unless  you are phobic about spiders.  If it's the unkempt look of the webs, vacuum those down, but allow the spider to continue it's work of bug-catching.  It loves to dine on gnats, fruitflies, cockroaches, silverfish, etc.  Just be sure you know how to recognize harmful spiders, and don't allow them entry into your home.
