Dieffenbachia, 'Tropical Snow'

Dieffenbachia, 'Tropical Snow': Dieffenbachia, 'Tropical Snow' grows well as a houseplant in filtered bright light.
This plant is a tropical plant that is native to the tropical forests of North and South America and the West Indies. Mine is probably 8 ft. tall. Average is about 5 ft. for a well grown plant.
It's very easy to grow and doesn't require much care. In the U.S. most Dieffenbachias are grown as houseplants. In the winter months, they like to be placed in a bright location, but it doesn't like to be watered much then. That's the dormant time. In the summer months, it likes bright but indirect light and it requires more water.
Although it grows in tropical environments outdoors, people living in the north would do well to grow it as a house plant.
It is poisonous and if eaten can cause severe stomach distress.
It doesn't produce flowers or bloom. It's growing season is during the warmer months, but it continues to grow during the winter, just at a slower rate.
