Description
Single mom fixes zippy beef to impress date. Beef was great, date was not.
Fixed many times in those days and even took to pot lucks - everyone seemed to like it.
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lb beef chuck, cut in 2" cubes
- 2 T flour
- 1⁄2 t ginger
- 1⁄2 t clery salt
- 1⁄2 t garlic powder (not salt)
- 1⁄4 t ground black pepper
- 1 16 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
- 2 c thinly sliced carrots
- 1 large, potato, cut into chunks
- 1⁄4 c sherry
- 1⁄4 c dark molasses
- 1 c water
Instructions
Put beef in crockpot, sprinkle salt, garlic powder, ginger, pepper over top of the beef. Put remain ingredients over top of beef. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours
Notes
The ever faithful salad and perhaps bread sticks goes well with the beef - or whatever you and your family like - easy and good
