Computer Problem At Home

I am going to be offline for a while :( unfortunatly my computer has decided that it doesn't want to load a few programs that are vital to connecting to the internet. I am at a friends house right now but won't be able to do much more than check in once a week. Please, know that I will miss every one and probably go totally bonkers with out being here. The fix seems simple, but until I can figure it out, nothing is simple. I will post again as soon as I am able.

Seems like a lot of Puter problems are going around!!!
Did you try system restore? Go back to a date before the problem started and use the system restore.
Which program where you downloading?
Most solutions are not very difficult to correct! I should know because I get a lot of them on this old dinosaur!!
This last crash was an easy one costing only $14.00 + a $30.00 service fee to replace a power unit after ruling out all the other possible glitches! All my headaches disappeared and the PC is now working better then before!

Not exactly sure what is

Not exactly sure what is going on with my computer at home, it keeps shutting off even when it has only been on for 15 minutes.  When it boots up, it says that the internet can not be found, and that the system notification service is not connecting.  Had a lady look at it for me, she is a long time friend of the family and said that the best thing to do is wipe it clean and install a new op system.  Well that won't happen until next year when I can get the software and a new tower just incase.  I will be back online at home in Feb, have no fear.  One way or another.

Sarah sorry you are having problems with your computer. I think the problem is with Yahoo. Maybe am wrong but I have had to reload Yahoo IM twice.
