I thought it would be a great Idea to start some tips, hints, how to's on composting...SOOOO, would anyone be willing to teach me how to compost ? I would LOVE to learn...
"Compost, because a rind is a terrible thing to waste !"
i put just about anything
i put just about anything but animal fat and bones in my compost. Not putting animal fat k and bones keeps the neighbors dogs from trying to go through it. Put coffee grounds, tea bags, banana and other fruit peelings, egg shells, leaves, grass clippings and the list goes on.

No dairy!
Don't put dairy products in your compost either. Both animal and dairy products can have bacteria, and the warm and moist environment of a compost heap will encourage bacteria growth and that will contaminate the entire pile.
If you only want to compost kitchen scraps, consider doing vermicomposting. The red wiggler worms will break down the food scraps faster.
If you want worm castings to add to your soil, make sure that you get worms in your compost. That way, you'll get all the castings you want!
