Hey flowergirl101
I buy the ones I like and are different then the norm.
I do not have the names of these small leaf cultivars but have been saving them from year to year by rooting cuttings iin September. I pot them up once the show root formation (I root them in water and check every few days) then pot them up for bringing in for the winter. I keep them alive under grow lights in the basement. I water them just enough to keep them alive until early April, then start to water them more often to encourage growth. By mid May I bring them outdoors to harden off in a sheltered shaded area. It this point I start to take cuttings to root in water to start the whole cycle again.
Heres another of the above photo:
This one is another of my favorites:
Heres some seedlings of big leaf ones i start each year:
..and some more. I do not save the big leaf types:

That IS a beauty! I see why it's a favorite, Ron.
Hey, flowergirl101, Welcome! Some coleus don't appeal to me much, but I agree, this one is gorgeous! Ron has some real beauties!
In my wonderings on the web I found this coleus site. I never knew there were sooo many! I'll warn you though, there's over a thousand photos...
